Privacy policy

This translation is provided for convenience. The English version is the legally binding text.

Spacing ("we", "us") operates spacingiq.com and provides social-timing intelligence services to clients. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.

Information we collect

• Account data — name, work email, company, and password hash when you create an account.
• Usage data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location (country/region) inferred from IP.
• Client data — handles, posts, and metrics you connect for analysis. We process this only to deliver our services.
• Billing data — if you buy a paid plan: your billing name, billing address and country, tax identifier where applicable, the plan and add-ons you hold, and your invoice and payment history. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us — we never receive or store your full card number. We receive only a payment token plus the card brand, last four digits, expiry date and billing country, which we use to show you which card is on file and to handle renewals and disputes.

How we use your data

• To deliver and improve the Spacing platform.
• To take payment, issue invoices, manage renewals and cancellations, and handle refunds and chargebacks.
• To detect and prevent payment fraud and abuse of the service.
• To understand product usage in aggregate (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization, only after you consent).
• To communicate with you about your account or service updates.
• To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting record-keeping.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on: performance of a contract for account, service-delivery and billing data; legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention and service improvement; consent for optional analytics cookies and marketing email, which you may withdraw at any time; and legal obligation for retaining financial records.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with providers strictly necessary to run the service, all of them bound by data-processing agreements:

• Google Cloud — hosting, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Firestore, Cloud Storage.
• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing, subscription billing, invoicing and fraud checks. Stripe acts as an independent controller for payment data it collects; see Stripe's privacy policy.
• Apify — collection of public social-platform data for the competitive and culture signals you request.
• Analytics providers you have consented to.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — in which case we will notify you.

International transfers

Our providers, including Google Cloud and Stripe, may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved transfer mechanism.

Retention

Account data is retained for the life of your account. Usage logs are retained for 13 months. Invoices, payment records and related tax documents are retained for 7 years after the transaction, as tax and accounting law requires — we cannot delete these earlier even on request, though we will delete everything else. Paused agency workspaces retain their data until you delete the workspace. You can request deletion at any time by emailing steve@spacingiq.com.

Agency and reseller accounts

Where an agency uses Spacing on behalf of its own clients, the agency is the controller of its clients' data and we act as its processor, handling that data only on the agency's instructions and to provide the service. The agency is responsible for having a lawful basis to connect each client's accounts. For the agency's own account and billing data, we remain the controller.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to withdraw consent. Contact steve@spacingiq.com to exercise these rights.
